Association of Space Explorers (ASE)Edit

The Association of Space Explorers (ASE) is an international nonprofit professional and educational organization of over 375 astronauts and cosmonauts from 35 nations. The ASE was founded in 1985 to unite fliers and provide a forum for professional dialogue among individuals who have flown to space. The mission of ASE is to promote and support education in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); to foster environmental awareness and planetary stewardship; and to encourage international cooperation in the human exploration of space. The annual ASE Planetary Congress is held  each year in a different host country, which has national space fliers.

DLREdit

DLR, the German Aerospace Center, is Germany‘s national research centre for aeronautics and space. Its research and development work in aeronautics, space, energy, transport, defence and security is integrated into national and international cooperative ventures. As Germany‘s Space Agency, DLR is tasked with the planning and implementation of Germany‘s space programme.

The DLR-Institute of Aerospace MedicineEdit

Within the DLR the Institute of Aerospace Medicine is the only research institution that primarily deals with life science problems concerning space flight, aviation and traffic. The Institute's research activities are focussed on the central task of providing for the health and performance of the persons involved (pilot, crew, passenger, astronaut, motorist, resident etc.).
